SafeGolf - Safeguarding

Introduction

The Club's affiliation to England Golf brings many benefits for both the Club and its members. It is a condition of affiliation for all golf clubs to adopt the England Golf SafeGolf principles for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk.

Beauchief Golf Club are very proud to confirm that we meet the standards set by England Golf and were first awarded full SafeGolf accreditation in March 2021. Such accreditation has been re-awarded in March 2022, March 2023 and again in March 2024. This shows the Club's commitment to provide a fun, safe and positive experience, and a safe environment for the sport of golf to be played. A copy of the current SafeGolf certificate can be downloaded below and is displayed in the clubhouse.

Full details of the Club policies can be viewed using the links below. Please do note that the procedures are different for children and adults!

The Club has a Welfare Officer who is available to support with any safeguarding matters and his contact details are also below. He is an integral part of our safeguarding policies and procedures. If you have any concerns for the welfare of any member, the procedures below show the appropriate guidance to follow but always best to involve the Welfare Officer at an early stage.
