SUMA is open to male playing members of clubs affiliated to the Sheffield Union. Applicants pay a one-off fee of £15 (age 50 years or over), or £20 (if under 50). Application forms are obtainable from the SUGC website or the Secretary or use the link below.
There is a minimum of six meetings per year but no member can be guaranteed to play in all the meetings. Yellow tees are used at all venues. There is no Handicap Index limit on entries. The handicap allowance shall be 85% of the players Course Handicap with a maximum permitted allowance of 18.4.
Bookings are available on-line via the SUMA website and the charge per pair is currently £40. Bookings become available from 1st April.
If, after the draw has taken place, teams withdraw then their place will be offered to the next in line from those balloted out. Members who cancel within 72 hours of a meeting or fail to report on the day shall forfeit their entry fee.
Ties in meetings shall be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes. The Union will award prizes to the winners and any other prizes as may be decided by the Executive Committee.
Check the SUMA website if you need to use a buggy. Mobile phones or similar electronic devices are not to be used in any SUGC Competition.
